Newlyns Farm Shop has an excellent reputation for producing meat of the highest quality for four generations.

 

Our exciting fledgling Fish Room is an exciting new venture for us to sell fish with provenance and quality to match our meat. We have teamed up with a company based in Shoreham to get fish straight from their fleet of 46 day boats delivered to our fish room daily, to be prepared in front of our customers.

We are looking for a fishmonger with experience and knowledge of preparing fish to the highest standards to join the team on this exciting venture.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Knowledge of fish and seafood species essential
  • Very good basic food hygiene and safety
  • Able to ensure daily deadlines are met so subsequent orders are delivered on time
  • Have good people and customer service skills
  • Be punctual and reliable
  • Fish Filleting, Skinning & Boning
  • To fill in all relevant paper work and HACCP forms.

SOUS CHEF - FARM CAFÉ

Are you looking to work in a restaurant that offers daytime work?

Typically, 7.30 to 5:30 during the week, 7:00 - 4:00 on a Saturday and 8:00- 3:30 on Sunday with no evenings, nights or split shifts and one full weekend off per month.

One where you can work with the finest local ingredients produced on our farm and other local suppliers?

One where you can use your experience to create dishes that will delight our customers?

We have a team with a wealth of experience that can guide you to build upon your skills and repertoire from head chefs to butchers and the potential to gain additional training from an external provider.

COMMIS CHEF - FARM CAFÉ

BARISTA & WAITRESS
You will be working in our Farm Café, showcasing the finest local ingredients produced on our farm. You will support our friendly team in providing excellent customer service in everything you do, from taking orders, serving food and drinks, to preparation of food.

We offer flexible working hours, but this position will include working one weekend in four.
