We understand how important it is to keep staff motivated and self-esteem high, in order for a business to be successful. Our Culinary team building events create an environment that promotes bonding between participants that is not always possible in a work environment.
With the assistance of our professional Chefs, team members work together to prepare a fantastic meal in a comfortable setting – whilst improving their confidence, communication and leadership ability. Key Managers are able to assess staff members' skills with regards to problem solving and team interaction, while corporate hosts are able to spend quality time communicating with customers.
We can host your corporate event for up to 12 people, tailored to meet your exact requirements and no culinary experience is required.
Our team had a great day and thoroughly enjoyed our team building day and evening experiencing the Newlyns’ version of wine tasting and “Ready Steady Cook!”. The kitchen facilities were of a very high standard and the staff full of fun and enthusiasm. As a group of almost 20, the team coped effortlessly with us.
Many thanks for hosting the Chinese delegation last week. It was much appreciated by the group and I also enjoyed it greatly.
Just a note to say what a wonderful, great, fun evening we all had on 14 September - it was our first event as a team and after the initial - oh no I can't cook reaction (well some of them!) everybody enjoyed the experience and of course eating it!!! The venue was perfect, the staff very attentive and all well laid out - couldn't have asked for anything more! Will certainly recommend within Virgin Media as a great team building venue!
I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone at Newlyns Farmshop for such a great afternoon/evening last week.
The Takeda group thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting and the cookery...and even very much enjoyed the food afterwards.
Thank you very much. We will definitely recommend the experience to other departments in Takeda.
“We had a fantastic day at Newlyns. Hannah the chef was a great teacher and tailored the menu to what we wanted, we learnt how to make pasta and filet sea bass- which is surprisingly simple. In the afternoon we had a wine tasting session with Caviste where Martyn matched the wine with the food we had cooked earlier. It was a lot of fun, just what we wanted.”
Thank you so much for our cooking course last Friday. Abi and I thought it was fantastic and we loved every minute of it. Thank you so much
I just wanted to say Thank You for having our group on Wednesday. They all had a whale of a time and it helped to make the event in it’s entirety the best yet.
Hi Emma, thank you so much for such a fantastic launch of the Hampshire Food Festival last night, it was a real success. I really appreciate all the hard work that went into the planning both beforehand and during the whole event. The guests enjoyed the farm tour, and there were lots of positive comments about how good it was to include this. The canapés were delicious - loads of compliments were flying around about these!
It was very well run & organised. Very professional set up. Everyone enjoyed the event.
I just wanted to pass on again my thanks for the wonderful morning we spent at Newlyns Cookery School. We all had a great time learning new skills and thoroughly enjoyed the food we prepared. The tuition was extremely well delivered, Hannah’s comments were supportive and encouraging.

We had an intensive day of Strategy discussion planned and we all found that the surroundings and service provided by the team at Newlyns enabled to get what we wanted done in an informal and comfortable setting. We were very well looked after by Hannah throughout the day ably assisted by Ellen. All of us really enjoyed that and found Hannah to be a great teacher who made the session sufficiently interesting and fun at the same time. All in all a great day was had and I just wanted to say how pleased we were with the service you all provided. We would certainly recommend you to companies who wanted a unique meeting venue/event quite distinct from the typical hotel conference suite.
The team at Minted Box were put to the test recently at Newlyns Farm where we were set quite a few tasks in their magnificent kitchen.
The starter and main were demonstrated by the brilliant Hannah and then, in teams of two, went to our stations. The fun started straight away.
For dessert we were given a pile of ingredients to select from and had 30 minutes to make a dessert without a recipe, but some helpful tips from Hannah!
Check out the video here to see how we got on and we'd thoroughly recommend a trip to Newlyns Cookery School if you want an event with a difference.
