The judge said: “One of the most welcoming farm shop butchery counters I have ever approached – not simply due to the spectacle of meat on offer but also the enthusiasm and passion of the staff who hold a wealth of expertise and knowledge.”

About Newlyns Farm Shop: We are livestock and arable farmers producing all our own beef, pork and lamb and retailing through our shop.  We hang all our own meat in a purpose-built hanging room before our team of resident butchers butcher it.  With full traceability, our meat is of the highest provenance. Our team of in-house chefs produce 26 different ready meals from scratch to carcass balance all our meat.  Our Farm Café produces an exciting extensive menu using our own meat and Newlyns Cookery School teaches a wide range of courses to increase the culinary repertoire of adults and children.

Michael Mack of Savills, the managing agent for FARMA, comments: “The FARMA awards are a fantastic way to reward our members for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. The awards are presented at the end of an educational and inspiring three day members conference and trade show, which is a wonderful way to celebrate their passion to promote food grown and sold by the same hands.”
